CRHT, The Coromandel Rescue Helicopter Trust, is the charitable trust that owns and has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust who operates the Whitianga base Westpac Rescue Helicopters on behalf of the Coromandel Region communities.
From the Whitianga Rescue Helicopter base we serve the Coromandel Region during the peak holiday periods and all long weekends throughout the year.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter rescue service is always on-call – that’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – and is provided free-of-charge to those that require it’s specialist services.
